About

Hi again!

I realised every once in a while I should probably update my “About” page but I’m not entirely sure how I should… so for now I will just add an extra paragraph before the old one 🙂
A year ago (17 now!) I started this blog and I have to admit it was one of the constant things (including my camera of course!) that I have in life.
At the moment I am doing 5 As levels in England and have exams heading towards me in about 2 weeks time – bleh. It was hard to adjust to England because of the climate and culture and food and people and so on… but I have settled in nicely thanks to some friends that I hold very dear to me 🙂
One of the advantages of living in England is the seasons. The amount of photo opportunities that I’ve been given every time the season changes is amazing and I thoroughly enjoy taking them!!
I recently went with my family to Spain, Morocco and Portugal and I recommend going there if you want to relax, take a vast lot of photos, eat delicious food (Spain!!) and just generally enjoy yourself. Quite a lot of my photos at the moment are from that holiday and I have even started to get my brother and sister to model for me (yay!) so I can get some variety in my photos.
I hope that you enjoy looking at the photos on my blog and will hopefully come back to look at more.
I hope you had a great day and are feeling happy xxx

OLDER POST

Hi there! My name is Christina and I am 16 years old.

I’m from England and Colombia and I am currently living in Thailand. I’ve lived in Thailand for 9 years and am very soon moving back to England which makes me nervous but hey that’s life right? Everyone has those changes in life that they can’t stop but just wait to happen and hope for the best. I’m excited for the move but at the same time the questions “will I fit in” and “what if I don’t like it” keep running through my head. All I am certain of is wherever I go, my camera comes with me.

I absolutely ADORE photography! My father , sister and I spend most of our time together arguing over who is the better photographer between us. My father is the technical one, knowing all the knowledge on cameras and what to buy. My sister is the creative one, she is the type of person that will take a photo of something that no – one would have even noticed. I am the one in between, taking photos of unusual things but also knowing the technical side to what I am taking. Us three always argue over who is the better photographer but is there really such a thing as a better photographer? Everyone sees photos in different ways and we all have our own opinions, it just depends on who is judging the photo.

I use a canon 7D body with a 17 – 55m lens and this combination of a camera gives me the opportunity to take photos of all kinds. When I leave my house I usually bring along my camera just in case I see something unusual or pretty to take a shot of. I enjoy taking photos of everything but I seem to be quite good at taking landscape shots so this blog will show more landscape shots then anything else and for the moment it will contain quite a lot of photos from New Zealand because it is such a STUNNING place! If anyone who is reading this (if anyone for that matter) enjoys photography I highly recommend you to go there. All around you is gorgeous mountains and views. It is such an amazing experience.

People ask me “why do you love photography so much?”. It’s a simple answer. It’s my way of remembering what is going on around me. Every time I look through my camera at a scene and take a photo, I feel as if I am capturing the moment and it becomes a memory I don’t forget. When I look back on a photo, I remember where I was and who I was with and the emotions I was feeling at the time. When I take a photo of a person, I feel as if I can see the love and happiness the person is spreading around them to others. When I take a photo, I feel happy.

So this is why I have made this blog, to share with people photos that I have taken that make me happy. And I do hope, that when you look through my blog, you are feeling happy too.
